Safety & Sustainability Committee Meeting
Tuesday, November 4, 2025 (11:30 AM - 2:30 PM) (EST)
Description
OCTC is excited to announce that our Safety and Sustainability Committee will be meeting in November in Columbus as part of our Chemistry Connects 2025. We are taking advantage of our time in the state capitol by inviting regulatory and non-regulatory speakers from key state agencies to present to our group. In this meeting you will hear directly from current Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) inspectors, find out about training and education grants available to your companies, and learn about the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) no-cost, confidential consultation services.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 4 from 11:30am to 2:30pm, and will be hosted at the Athletic Club of Columbus. A virtual option is available, however, the S&S committee strongly encourages in-person attendance at all meetings.
This meeting is being held in conjunction with OCTC’s Chemistry Connects 2025. While this committee is free to attend for all current OCTC members, there are registration fees associated with Chemistry Connects. We hope you will all be able to join us for the full event! View our agenda here.

The Safety and Sustainability Committee provides a venue for OCTC members to share experiences regarding environmental, safety, health, security, and sustainability matters. The committee identifies best practices, lessons learned, and relevant trends for the purpose of reducing risk, advancing accident prevention programs, and developing sustainability programs to expand knowledge in chemical process and personal safety at member operating facilities.
